BOOK SIGNING AND PLAYERS APPEARANCE AT READSTOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY

On Saturday, March 19th, beginning at 10:30 am, the Readstown Public Library will host a book signing and public appearance of players from local author Paul Lagan’s best-selling novel, ‘The Amazing Journey of the Kickapoo Kids.’

Based on a true story and a personal experience, ‘The Amazing Journey of the Kickapoo Kids’ is an uplifting, nostalgic reminder of the brevity of America’s small-town soul in the early 1950s, and  a courageous group of Kickapoo Kids quest to set WIAA baseball records that can never be repeated.

This book and the players was a recipient of the first ever Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Memories Award at the Marriott Hotel in Middleton, and received a standing ovation from the 700 coaches attending. It ranks in the top 5% of Indie book sales—and has been documented on WKBT TV in La Crosse and WKOW TV in Madison.
